"Love Child" (Kärleksbarn) is one of the finalists in the UK-based Aestethica magazine 2010 short film competition. From over 1000 submissions 13 finalists were chosen. The films will be available to watch on a free DVD that will be given away in Aesthetica issue 38 (December - January), which will be available from 1 December 2010.

"Love Child" (Kärleksbarn) won the award "Best international short film" at AsterFest IFF, 27-31/5 (Macedonia). Featured at the festival were also "The Intruder" (Inkräktaren) and "Apple" (Äpple) as part of a focus on Swedish short films, co-hosted by the Swedish embassy in Skopje.

Love Child (Kärleksbarn) was awarded the Kotinos (Wild Olive Crown) for "Best short fiction film" by the children's jury at Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People (Greece) 5-12/12.

Love Child (Kärleksbarn) was awarded "Best international short film" at Cornwall ISFF 13-15/11 (UK). The film took part in a section called "Another Country" where a selection of international shorts was screened for a voting audience in a number of remote areas around Cornwall from September to November. As the festival Filmstock, held in Luton (UK) 5-15/11, wrapped this year´s edition Love Child was also announced one of the audience award winners.

Daemon Film will produce the new short film from Palme d'Or nominated director/animator Erik Rosenlund, entitled "Out of Erasers" (Sudd). The film will be Erik´s live-action debut. Shooting will commence in early November and the premiere is planned for summer 2010.

Love Child (Kärleksbarn) has been selected as one of ten finalists in the global short film competition Manhattan Short. The NY-based film event is unique in its kind as it features the world's largest audience award. During one week in September, starting on the 20th, the film will be screened 532 times over 5 continents, playing simultaneously in 173 cities.
